VIPER
The Virginia Institute for Performance Engineering & Research (VIPER) serves as one of the foremost R&D centers for auto racing, advance technology, and performance vehicles. Located as part of Danville’s Institute for Advanced Learning & Research (a partnership among Virginia Tech, Averett University, and Danville Community College), VIPER builds on the region’s strong ties to NASCAR racing as well as the proximity of the Virginia International Raceway (which, in fact, is home to the majority of VIPER facilities and equipment).
